A journalist is a special profession. It is important not only to own the technical side of the matter, a good knowledge of the language and journalistic genres. It is especially important here what person you are, what do you want when the microphone is turned on and your voice sounds for many people. For Galina Ivanovna, the listener was most important, with his difficulties and troubles, hopes and trust.

At first I took her restraint for severity and impregnability. A novice correspondent, making it difficult to build the material, I said this out loud. Galina Ivanovna came up to me: "Make it like that." It was a short, but absolutely clear and correct advice. More than once I heard from colleagues how she, without wasting time for conversations, just did everything possible to solve the problem.

And every time I left the office when I realized that a person came to her for a personal conversation, and it was impossible to interfere. This often happened. I myself have something to be deeply grateful to her. For Galina Ivanovna, it was natural to maintain not so much with a word as a matter. Probably about the radio journalist, whose main tool in work is the word, it sounds paradoxical, but in fact the transfer of journalist Savina was also the actions that she did on the air for the listeners.

With the guest of the studio of any rank, she was attentive, tactful, but also demanding, persistent. Her sharp questions were always surprisingly simple, and in this simplicity it seemed that they did not seem sharp, pushing the interlocutor to direct answers. The belief that the journalist will delve into and help. So it was. The trust that the journalist's voice caused the attention of Galina Ivanovna to every detail of the conversation. She was in the simplest and most literal sense of the word a national journalist. Listening to the programs of Galina Ivanovna, she noticed an amazing feature: talking about very specific, practical things, she knew how to raise so at the end of the conversation, increase the subject of the conversation that I was always happy if a musical train sounded at the end of the program - he gave the opportunity to think about what he heard.

Of course, the talent and skill of journalist Savina were noticed and marked by both colleagues and society. She is a laureate of a prestigious journalistic prize named after K. Here I write and I think that these lines would confuse Galina Ivanovna. She was always shy about public praise, did not love them. Nowadays, when it has become quite normal, that people are praising themselves and each other, for this is a way to “break through and establish themselves”, I am still more expensive for the human modesty of Galina Ivanovna.
