Gladunov Pavel Biography

Over the 15 years of the camp, more than 20 thousand women from all over the USSR passed through it. Both no famous women and prominent cultural figures, for example, director Kira Andronikashvili or writer Galina Serebryakova, got there. The film tells in detail how one stroke of the pen collapsed the lives of thousands of non -guilty people, nevertheless, the authors do not roll to the branding of the Soviet regime.

The director of the film Pavel Gladunov told why he shot the film right now and what was left behind the scenes. On his initiative and at his expense at the site of the mass burial of the prisoners, Khachkar, and then the Orthodox Cross was installed. Did you immediately agree to this work? We have been cooperating with him since the year, shot 15 films for him. Some are skeptical of the activities of patrons.

If support, for example, residents of blockade Leningrad is understandable to everyone, then the restoration of monuments in different countries often raises questions. Personally, over the years of cooperation, I have never noticed in his words or actions of self -interest, he does everything from the heart. I realized that when Grachya Misakovich recreates, creates or restores some kind of monument, it updates the memories of some important but sometimes forgotten story.

The documentary additionally reinforces this event, attracting the attention of a large number of people. Unfortunately, there were no living prisoners left, but we wanted the audience to hear their voices, so they used fragments of the documentary “Treasury”, which Eugene Golovnya shot in the year. Of course, with the permission of copyright holders.

Our main task is to perpetuate the story. We want to make people remember these terrible events so that this no longer repeats. At the same time, we intentionally do not give any assessments. I am convinced that neither documentaries nor journalists should give assessments, we must simply show participants, experts, eyewitnesses. Spectators must draw conclusions themselves.

The memories of an orphan that squeezes a piece of bread in a fist, given for the whole day, simply crash into memory. The children were taken away, the names were changed so that the parents could not find them later, the brothers and sisters were separated and transported to different cities. There were cases when the children believed that their parents were terrible criminals, and renounced them, because no one told them the truth, but they themselves could not know her.

It was all. At the same time, in our film there are shots from ordinary kindergartens and orphanages where children make massages, feed from a spoon, pumped on a swing. It was also. By the way, many spectators of our film did not know that there were norms for arrested and executed. When I saw a fragment of a documentary, where the prisoner who passed Algeria approaches Sergey Barinov, the man who kept her under arrest, and hugs, calls her good, expensive, was in shock.

Moreover, this opinion is not one or two prisoners, but many, otherwise we would not know anything about him. That is, he did many terrible things. On the other hand, no one dreams of working in a Gulag, so the fate of all commandants and bosses is also a kind of tragedy. In our film, an adviser to the Governor of the Leningrad Region Anatoly Zaitsev, referring to real documents, says a case from the Trans -Baikal Territory, when the head of one of the regional departments of the NKVD informed that he could not fulfill the standards for executions, since the enemies of the people have ended.

He was answered that one is definitely, and it was he, and there would be no other to find work. The next day, this NKVDshnik found six “enemies of the people”. That is, most people did not want to do anything wrong, but this, of course, is not an occasion to justify them. Did you specially shoot so that people inspect, and not drown in tears? It seems to me that it is clear that if we are talking about a female camp, then, of course, there were savagery and violence.

It seems to me that we showed enough. Of course, they could dig even deeper, but then the film would become longer, now the timing is 75 minutes. A large team worked on the project. Screenwriter Elena Dazdorova says that this work changed her to some extent-simply because, passing such a difficult story through yourself, you begin to look at many things differently.

By the way, not everyone was able to watch our film. Someone breaks on the song “I am infinitely sorry for her unfulfilled dreams,” my wife, for example, settled on this. Someone cannot watch after the first poem “over me the hot tent of Kazakhstan” Sofia Solunova. Have you heard such accusations against you? We did not have a single negative review at all. The only thing - once asked, they say, why we call Barinov the good, although it is not us, but a prisoner.

I remember how, after the premiere show in St. Petersburg, two tearful eighth-graders approached me, thanked for the film, said they did not know anything about this camp. I find it difficult to answer how I feel about Stalin. Perhaps someday I will make a documentary about him and then I will form an opinion. However, neither good nor bad can definitely call it.

Today, many Russians dream of the emergence of a new Stalin. Sociologists note that the request for justice is expressed. It seems to people that the harsh, but fair ruler will plant all bad people, take the money from the oligarchs and give them to the people. It does not seem strange to you that the times when many people acted extremely unfairly have become the embodiment of a dream of social justice?

To do this, do it well to do your job, create a family, make friends. I am an absolutely happy person: I have five sons, so I have no time to be sad. By the way, we already have one diploma from the professional community - “26 Point” was shown as part of the Nevsky Blagovest Christian Cinema International Festival. I do not exclude that the film will fall on television.
