Alexander Zubchenko Biography
Zubchenko was born on September 11. In the year he graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in “technology and equipment of welding production”. One of the directions of his scientific activity in those years was studies of the welds of steels of various structural classes and the structural strength of welded joints of the equipment of atomic and thermal power plants, chemical and oil equipment operating at high temperatures under pressure and intense corrosion effects.
With the direct participation of A. Zubchenko, the problems of the manufacture of equipment for thermal, atomic and hydroelectric power plants were solved. Thus, the results of the doctoral dissertation, which A. Zubchenko defended in the year, was the basis for the creation of new structural steels and welding materials. The results of extensive studies of the properties of materials and structures are the basis for calculations of strength, justification of the reliability of the resource and extending the service life of potentially hazardous industries.
For the training of highly qualified specialists in welding and related technologies of this class A. Zubchenko in the year was awarded the title of professor. Zubchenko was a direct participant in the technical re -equipment of factories and the formation of the energy engineering industry. The high level of the material and technological support of the projects he headed for the construction of the nuclear power plant, including in the complex "perestroika" period.
Zubchenko was a participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The main area of its activity remained material science support and welding in the design, manufacture and installation of new atomic reactor installations. Being a specialist in the international level in the field of the theory and practice of modern machine -building technologies, A.
Zubchenko paid great attention to the training of highly qualified scientific personnel. He trained 25 candidates and two doctors of technical sciences. His experience is widely used in resolving issues of material science and welding at the stages of design, manufacture and installation of nuclear power plants. High scientific and production achievements of A. For a great contribution to the development of domestic science and technology, A.
Zubchenko was awarded the title “Honored Science of the Russian Federation” and “Honored Machine Builder of the Russian Federation”.
For courage, dedication and conscientious work in the performance of official duties to eliminate the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, he was awarded the medal "For the Salvation of the Disaders" and the badge "For participation in the elimination of the accident." Zubchenko had more scientific articles, four monographs and more than 50 copyright certificates and patents for inventions.
He was an academician of the Academy of Quality and the Russian Engineering Academy, a member of the VAK Expert Council, co -chair of the International Scientific Council for welding and related technologies. Alexander Stepanovich will forever remain in the memory of everyone who knew him, as an energetic, deeply decent, intelligent person, a large worker who gave a lot of effort to his work, his favorite business.
The bright memory of him is preserved in the hearts of relatives, friends, friends and colleagues.
