Andrey Bogolyubsky biography briefly

Hikes on the Volga Bulgar. He took possession of the road worker at Volyn siege Chernigov Yuri Dolgoruky hiking on Kyiv Battle on the Duba River. A trip to Novgorod of the siege of Vyshgorod on the Volga Bulgar is a second trip to the Volga Bulgars when Andrei grew up, his father allocated to him the recently arising town of Vladimir on Klyazma. The first half of his life passed there.

It is known about his deeds at that time that in the year Andrei, along with his brother Rostislav, at the request of his father, participated in the campaign against the Ryazan prince. And when in the year Yuri Dolgoruky entered the struggle for the possession of the Kyiv Grand Duke, captured by his nephew Izyaslav, Andrei took an active part in this war. Andrei spent several years in the south, participating in all his father’s military campaigns.

So, during a campaign in Volyn land belonging to Izyaslav, moving to the connection with his father near Lutsk, Andrei near the anthopponic was left by his allies - the Polovtsy. His frightened brother Rostislav advised him to retreat several times, but Andrei decided to wait for dawn, despite the insistence of Rostislav and even his own squad. When the day came, Andrei rushed at the enemy who came out of Lutsk, and was surrounded by his superior forces.

With Andrei there was only the youngest squad. During the battle, he received two injuries, and he barely managed to fight back and jump away. Then he distinguished himself in the battle of Kiev in the year, in the battle on the Duba River and with the siege of Chernigov, which lasted twenty days. Having captured the princely throne in Kyiv, Yuri left his son near him and put him to reign in Vyshgorod near Kiev.

But this reign of Andrei did not have this reign, and in the year he went to the Rostovo-Suzdal lands. From Vyshgorod, he took with him the icon of the Mother of God, which later became the main Orthodox shrine under the name of Vladimir. After the death of Yuri in the year, Andrei had to move to Kyiv in the old order, providing Rostovo-Suzdal land to the younger brothers. But he himself accepts power in Rostov and Suzdal.

He makes the city of the city the city of Vladimir, equips and strengthens it, thereby turning it into an impregnable fortress. Prince Andrei becomes an imperious ruler, bringing new methods to the board. He became the first prince to decide to start the fight against a specific system. By the year, he had expelled from his land the younger brothers and nephews, without distributing to them the destinies, as was adopted before.

The older squad of his father was subjected to persecution: he also expelled one part of her, the other - enclosed in prison. The Boyar Council was not going to them, and he solved all issues alone. Andrei’s campaign on the Bulgarian in the year was the last campaign in which he took a personal part. He opposed them with his son Izyaslav, brother Yaroslav and Murom Prince Yuri.

This campaign was successful for Andrei. The Bulgarians were broken, several of their villages and the city of Bryakhimov were destroyed. Declaring himself the Grand Duke of Vladimir and Suzdal, Andrei subjugated the neighboring princes - Ryazan, Smolensk, Murom and Polotsk, who, becoming his allies, began to take part in the campaigns he had arranged. Andrei Bogolyubsky, the main tasks of his political activity, posed the importance of Kyiv and the transfer of leadership over the Russian lands to Vladimir, as well as the submission of his power to free Novgorod.

In these cities, he wanted to put on reigning faithful people who would recognize him, Andrei, with seniority over the Russian lands. In an attempt to unite, under his power, Russian lands Prince Andrei lacked flexibility and diplomacy in relations with other princes. Over the years, Andrei, proud, imperious and not at all soft -hearted, became even more difficult for others, which became more and more uncertain in their fate.

His severity and despotism aroused the hatred of not only the boyars, but also domestic.
