Let me welcome and congratulate all of you on the opening of this large-scale scientific and educational forum. The authoritative scientific forum collected in Perm, who gathered prominent scientists, clergymen, representatives of the creative intelligentsia and simply not indifferent to their history of citizens, will be an important stage in the development of spiritual and moral traditions in the life of the Perm Territory.

The selected date of the forum is not accidental and especially memorable to the perishens, it was on the night of June 12 to 13 years that the Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich was taken from the “Korolev numbers” to the Solikamsky tract, which was subsequently glorified by the Russian Orthodox Church abroad in the host of the new martyr and Russian confessors. The Romanov theme in Perm attracts great attention to both representatives of the scientific community and the creative intelligentsia.

Since the year, Romanov readings have been held in Perm, uniting all citizens who are not indifferent to this topic.

Every summer, the Perm activists conduct an archaeological search at the site of the alleged burial of Grand Duke Michael. It can be noted that the first annual Perm scientific and educational readings that open today are not formed from scratch and will find a wide response in the scientific and creative environment of Permyakov. The realities of modern life require a thoughtful attitude to their own historical tradition, to the great spiritual domestic culture, the use of which allows us to look with confidence in tomorrow.

It is especially important on the example of the historical memory of the past to educate the younger generation, our children and youth, and the opening readings should be replenished, recreated the missing links in our Russian history, to give the young generation the lost moral guidelines. Readings reports make it possible to say that the participants in the readings will take place of painstaking scientific work to comprehend the traditions of Russian statehood, ways of further development of our society, including through the prism of the activities of Grand Duke Mikhail Romanov.

I am sure that the proposals and recommendations developed during the Perm scientific and educational readings “The History of the Imperial House of the Romanovs” will contribute to the further spread of truthful historical memory and spiritual and moral education on Perm Land, the development of the domestic spiritual and cultural heritage, and will serve as the preservation of historical memory of the Imperial House of the Romanovs.
