The clip itself did not like the members of the group, they were not enthusiastic about the production, entourage and script, and the MTV channel refused to broadcast the video on the air. Against the backdrop of this Vdovin, I decided to leave the team. After the departure of Igor, the cord and Popov tried to replace the soloist. The place of the frontman went to Sergey.

Then the guys decided to repeat the fate of the "affectionate May" and tried to act with different compositions immediately throughout the country, but the idea quickly failed. Shnurov decided that there were enough experiments, and took all the initiative into his own hands. In the updated composition, Leningrad releases the second album “Mat without electricity”. His record was under the leadership of the Gala Records label.

The clip "Du Y Lav Mi" successfully falls on the air of MTV. Especially the viewer was hooked by the composition "show business", filled with selected obscene vocabulary. The bomb on popularity was the release of the film "DMB-2", in which the songs of the Leningrad group were used.

The rotation of some of them took place on our Radio. The number of fans has rapidly increased among Leningrad. In the summer of the year, the album “summer residents” is released, which became the most cult in the history of Leningrad. Now they began to talk about the group everywhere. The words of the songs were dismantled for quotes. Tickets diverged at a tremendous speed.

It was then that disagreements began in the group. The composition was divided into two opposing camps. The drunken novel Fokin pulled over the part of the team. In August, the third video of the group for the song “When there is no money” came out. The composition immediately flew into the MTV rotation and lasted about three years in leadership positions. Leningrad then already performed at many famous festivals, such as “Wings” and “Invasion”.

Then followed the historical broadcast in the program "Air" on the TV-6 channel. Shnurov and the company performed a few of their songs live, including the most obscene show business. Their performance was negatively met by the presenters, and Ksenia Schizh called Leningrad a one-day group, noting that they would not stay for a long time on the stage for a long time. Both groups later proved that they occupy a place on Olympus of Russian music deservedly.

Some of the records were stolen directly from the studio, which slowed down the work process. The situation in the team exacerbated the situation and conflicts. Sergei Shnurov considered that to improve sound, it is worth inviting the St. Petersburg SKA-Collection "Spitfire". The cord was familiar with the participants in the team, so they quickly agreed.

17 musicians appeared on the stage - the entire composition of Leningrad and the Spitfire group without guitarist Konstantin Limonov. This concert was released on video cassettes and sold out with a colossal circulation.

Sergei Shnurov made a difficult decision and dismissed the group until the summer of the year. At this time, the frontman was writing songs for the next two albums - “Second Magadan” and “For Millions”. Sergei also changed his appearance. The artist inserted his teeth and grew his hair. In the summer of the year, Shnurov made a new composition of Leningrad. The Spitfire group almost completely entered it.
