Elena Kitaeva Biography
This is my city: the main designer of the Culture television channel Elena Kitaeva 3 min. I was born ... in Ivanovo. There I spent the infant years. Then we and my parents, engineers-technologists who brought the plants into operation, rode throughout the country. Wherever I did not live in childhood: in Georgia and Belarus, small towns with underground military airfields. My childhood, as I now understand, was happy.
In Moscow, I ended up ... in the year, in the midst of perestroika. Now I live ... conceptually: in China-Gorod, in accordance with the surname. From the window I see the Ilyinsky square. And I enjoy this noble view daily. Our area is wonderful. Favorite area ... First of all, of course, I love Kitay-Gorod, the area that I strove for. As well as Zamoskvorechye, Pyatnitskaya, a large horde.
The unloved region of Moscow ... No, of course.
How can you not love something? But, I admit, I have suffering about one of the parts of Kitay-Gorod, and this is Zaryadye, where I am very often. The attractive concept of the park, which was declared at the beginning, unfortunately, was never realized. Quite a lot of time has passed since the launch of this project, conclusions can already be drawn. And they are disappointing. There is no promised variety of vegetation from different regions and regions of huge Russia in Zaryadye.
And there is some kind of liquid park, which is hardly held in a more or less decent state. There is no effort to fully implement the concept. I do not see strong cedars of Siberia, crooked bores of Karelia, the magnolia of the south and the Kovyle of the steppes. This is wildly sad, and, probably, not only me. And before Zaryadye, it looked like a sort of time island with a view of the red -brick Kremlin walls and the now demolished modernist hotel "Russia".
I love to walk ... I really love architecture, and Zamoskvorechye, where I like to walk, a historical place, just a rare variety of architectural styles. Of course, I love constructivism, it’s a pity that in Moscow its samples are scattered in different places. The inexplicable contradiction is that, being a constructivist and a siprematist in the soul, I feel tenderness for both wooden towers and the Soviet classics.
Even to impressionism in the music of Claude Debussy. I also love the area of Solyanka and Ivanovo Gorka. Favorite restaurant ... "My fish" on Slavyanskaya Square is the place of my frequent visit. There is a delicious menu. Muscovites differ from residents of other cities ... with businessiness and aspiration. It can be seen that Muscovites have a clear task.
In Moscow, it is better than in the megacities of the world ... Of course, in Moscow it is best! Compared to the roaring streets of European cities, Moscow, on the contrary, is swelling, becomes more and more luxurious. The place where I have been going for a long time, but I just can’t get ... I would like to better consider Tsaritsyno and Kolomenskoye. Especially the Kolomenskoye, very mysterious place.
Changed in Moscow ... I am enthusiastic about Moscow. Embankment, fashionable shops everywhere are ennobled - everything looks very good. The city is very comfortable. There are probably flaws, but they lie somewhere deep. Their overall impression overshadows. I miss Moscow ... Why is the Polytechnic Museum still not open? Why is the building of the General Post Office on Myasnitskaya still not restored?
I'm not talking about the Mayakovsky Museum. This is generally a tragedy. Some of all these enchanted places, and in the very center of the city. I intently follow the fate of the Polytechnic, for the annual promises of the discovery, which did not occur even in the year of the flight of the museum. The end and edge of the protracted process is not visible. Entire generations of children are deprived of a rare opportunity to visit this museum.
I would also erect more monuments in Moscow to famous people - scientists, doctors, artists, musicians. The list of those to whom the monuments are not erected is endless. And this is important from an educational point of view. True, there is always a danger that, if they put it, they will be terrible. Walking around Moscow, I always make the route so that there is some monument in it-Griboedov, Repin, Lermontov, Cyril and Methodius.
I can be found besides work and at home ... in museums, at exhibitions. I constantly visit the Philharmonic and the Conservatory. If not Moscow, then ... Rome! I am always delighted with antiquity. With its technology, a scale, crazy dimensions, the masonry in the ruins of the term, a simple door that reaches three human height is amazing.
